As every year, the 26th of April is the opportunity to celebrate the World Intellectual Property Day aiming at raising awareness about the importance of the intellectual property rights for the innovation and the creativity. This year, particular emphasis is given to the essential role of trademarks, patents, designs and copyrights in allowing SMEs to build stronger, more competitive and resilient businesses. The protection and use of intellectual property rights are a good way to, inter alia, turn ideas into business opportunities and generate value.
