The 2021 edition of the Global Innovation Index, which ranks the economies of 132 countries in the world according to their innovation capabilities and results, has been released today by the World Intellectual Property Organization. For the eleventh consecutive year, Switzerland has been ranked as the world’s most innovative country. Since the 2020 edition, the number of patent applications has remained relatively stable and the number of startups has risen. In a highly competitive local and worldwide environment, having great ideas is crucial and protecting them too.
