Amazon published yesterday its first Brand Protection Report. This report highlights the results achieved in 2020 thanks to the initiatives started the year before for ensuring sale of authentic products. Interestingly, only 6% of attempted account registrations passed the verification process to get on its shelves. Among the sale requirements, the product brand must be protected i.e. “to be eligible for Amazon Brand Registry, your brand must have an active registered trademark in each country where you wish to enroll or have a pending trademark application filed through Amazon IP Accelerator.” Protecting the trademark is an essential step of sales plans. Our team can advise you on a tailor-made and solid protection strategy.
